EcoVolt Electric

Commercial solar, engineered and installed in Ontario

Cut your building's electricity costs with rooftop solar

Generate your own power on the roof you already own. Federal and Ontario incentives can cover a large share of the cost on eligible projects, EcoVolt can finance the entire system with $0 upfront, subject to eligibility.

For commercial, industrial and institutional buildings in Ontario.

The assessment covers roof suitability, system size, incentives and payback. No cost, no obligation.

Ontario electricity is not getting cheaper

The IESO expects Ontario's electricity demand to grow roughly 65% by 2050, with billions in new generation and infrastructure costs to pay for. Commercial ratepayers carry a large share of that bill. Every kilowatt-hour your roof produces is one you stop buying at whatever the future rate turns out to be.

Solar is the one line item on your energy budget you can fix for 25 years: after installation, the fuel is free.

  1. Free site assessment

Roof condition, structure, electrical capacity, sun exposure and your consumption profile. We size to your load, not your roof.

  2. Engineering and incentives

Full design, permits, utility connection, and every incentive application prepared and filed. This process ensures that incentive approvals are secured at the beginning of your project.

  3. Installation

Our licensed crews install with minimal disruption to your operations. ESA inspected and approved.

  4. Maintenance and support

Maintenance is included on financed systems, and owners can add a yearly maintenance contract.

The incentives do the heavy lifting

Commercial and Industrial clients have access to specialized government incentive programs of rebates and tax credits. On eligible rooftop projects they can cover half or more of the installed cost, and we handle the applications as part of the project.

Program rates as of September 2026. Every figure is verified against current program rules at proposal stage.

Worked example: 250 kW-AC warehouse rooftop
Installed project cost$450,000
Save on Energy incentive (250 kW-AC x $770)-$192,500
Federal tax credit (30% of remaining cost)-$77,250
Net cost after incentives~$180,000
Annual electricity savings~$45,000.00
Simple paybackless than 5 years

Illustrative example at September 2026 program rates. It assumes the full ITC 30% credit rate after the Save On Energy Rebate. The first-year 100% capital cost allowance write-off adds further tax savings not shown here. We model your actual numbers in our proposal.

Or keep your capital: $0 upfront

For eligible solar projects, EcoVolt finances, installs, owns and maintains the entire system. You pay nothing upfront and buy the power it produces through a power purchase agreement: a low fixed rate with secured escalation, locked in for 25 years.

Your capital stays in your business and your electricity cost becomes predictable for a quarter century. Maintenance is built into the rate, and at the end of the term you can buy the system at fair market value.

Financing for eligible projects requires ownership of the building. Rates depend on project size and location. Prefer to own the system? You keep the incentives and tax credits you qualify for, and we offer a yearly maintenance contract.

Built for buildings that work for a living

Warehouse roof with solar panels

Warehouses and distribution

Big flat roofs and daytime loads: the ideal solar profile. Repowering options for aging arrays too.

Manufacturing plant with rooftop solar

Manufacturing

Offset heavy consumption and pair with battery storage to attack peak demand charges.

Farm building with solar panels on the roof

Agriculture and greenhouses

Barn and outbuilding rooftops can qualify for Save on Energy incentives, and incorporated farms for the federal tax credit. Net metering where it fits.

Institutional building with rooftop solar

Schools and municipal

Incentives depend on your corporate structure: some public entities, such as municipally owned corporations, can use the Clean Electricity credit of up to 15%. We check eligibility in the assessment.

Why an electrical contractor, not a solar salesman

  • Licensed electrical contractorECRA/ESA licence #7017432, with licensed crews and ESA inspection on every Ontario project.
  • Sized to your load, not your roofOversized systems waste capital under Ontario's credit rules. We engineer to your actual consumption.
  • Incentive paperwork includedApplications must be filed correctly and in the right order, so that incentives are secured early in the project. We handle them as part of the project.
  • One contractor, whole systemSolar, batteries, EV charging and the electrical work behind them, engineered and installed by the same team.

Questions owners and facility managers ask us

Is my roof suitable?

Roof age, membrane condition and structure are the first things we check in the assessment. If the roof needs work first, we tell you, and we can coordinate solar-ready roofing details so you do not pay twice.

Will installation disrupt our operations?

Almost all work happens on the roof and at the electrical room. Connection switchovers are scheduled around your production windows, usually off-hours. Most facilities never stop operating.

What maintenance does solar need?

Very little: panels carry 25-30 year warranties and have no moving parts. If you own the system, we offer a yearly maintenance contract. If EcoVolt finances it, maintenance is part of the PPA rate that you pay.

Who qualifies for $0-upfront financing?

Eligible projects, in a building you own. Building ownership is required for insurance purposes. Smaller projects are usually best owned outright with the incentives of rebates and capital cost write offs; the assessment shows your actual payback.

Net metering or the Save on Energy incentive?

In Ontario you choose one or the other, and the right answer depends on your consumption profile and system size. We model both in the assessment so the decision can be made by you based on your goals.

We lease our building. Can we still do this?

Often yes, with the landlord's participation, and sometimes the landlord becomes the buyer. Our $0-upfront financing does require an owned building, so for leased sites the ownership path is the usual route. We assess each case individually.

What happens after 25 years?

Panels keep producing, just gradually less (typically about 0.5% per year). On a financed system, at the end of the agreement you can buy it at fair market value. Our repowering work replaces aging systems with modern modules that produce more from the same roof.
